After about 10 days played Rift, I managed to reach level 50. I played more than I would like to acknowledge the weekend launch (can you blame me?) But after that, I took my time and only played in the evenings and still managed to be one of leading players on my server to 50. I forgot to take a screenshot of my game time when I hit 50 because I was actually running an instance at the time. It was just over 3 days to 55.
The above photo was actually taken a few hours after I reached 50. I could certainly do it faster, but I took the time to PvP a bit to 49, the level of my business (my outfit is nearly 300, and my butcher and food are high as well) and rift platinum, get an epic mount (bought mine at 48), and get my seal fully upgraded (before that, as the level 48 as well). Anyway, I wanted to share with you everything I've learned on the way to 50, so you can level up faster while getting all the good things. Here's my list, in no particular order.
The key to leveling quickly in the early levels is via quests. At early levels, the quests seem to give much XP as this fades by a rising scale do level. Quest XP and XP monster and dungeon at higher levels. For example, a quest gives only about 4-5k XP per level 45, you can earn as much by killing monsters to 10, both solo or in a dungeon. You are able to kill monsters more effectively at higher levels (if you have a good build) and run faster dungeons (if you have a good group).
Leveling up in dungeons is very effective. The first group of players at level 50 on my server ran dungeons over and over again in a static party. This gave them tons of reputation and experience quickly. I suspect their / played was higher than mine on the way to 50 and rift gold, but it certainly is an effective approach. While leveling up in dungeons is effective, standing around waiting for your party is not, nor worry about getting that one piece of equipment. Your equipment is updated very quickly from quests and even a few drops of green random world.
